Thank you – you’ve made a real difference.
On 9 March 2011, BNZ staff rolled up their sleeves and helped out on hundreds of community projects right across New Zealand.
BNZ would like to offer a sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible. Firstly to our valued customers – we appreciate your patience and understanding while our stores were closed for the day.
Special acknowledgement also goes out to our staff in Christchurch, who helped keep BNZ stores open to assist customers during an extremely difficult time – you’ve made us proud.
Finally, well done to our staff for volunteering their time and energy – including those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make everything happen.
How It Worked
This year we helped with more than 400 different projects in our communities. It was all thanks to nearly 5,000 BNZ staff who were more than happy to lend a hand and do some good.
Although our doors were closed for the day, our customers were still able to bank by internet, phone and ATM, so disruption was minimal. Even so, we’d like to thank our customers for their understanding and enormous support on the day BNZ was Closed for Good.
