032Box Hill Kids (Early Childhood Centre) Gardening/General tidy up outside
Depending on the numbers of people you are able to give us, any or all of the following could be completed: weeding around our entrance and in our outside play area, lawn mowing, pruning plants/small bushes, digging over our bark chip area and adding more bark chips, painting some outside climbing boxes, cleaning outside equipment. We would probably need 3 people for 6-7 hours to do all of this, but if we are only granted one person, we will look at the tasks in the above order.
How this project will benefit the community
Box Hill Kids is a community based, not-for-profit centre providing full and part time care for families in our community, to facilitate the work commitments of the parents. We prioritise families, so where possible we place siblings together above 'single' children - meaning that parents don't have to drop one child at one service and another child at a different service. We also value family time, so like to keep parent commitments (such as workingbees to a minimum). Having your support would facilitate this, as we are having an ERO visit later this year and would have a workingbee otherwise.
